Built for the Kootenays
CanAurora was founded on a simple belief: businesses in Trail, Rossland, and the broader Kootenay region deserve the same calibre of IT service as the largest corporations in Vancouver — delivered by people who are actually here.
Why we started CanAurora
After years working in enterprise IT for organizations in Vancouver and Calgary, our founders returned to the Kootenays and were struck by a gap: the region's small and medium businesses were left choosing between underfunded break-fix shops or distant managed service providers who didn't know a BC interior winter from a Lower Mainland drizzle.
In May 2026, we incorporated CanAurora — named for the aurora borealis, the northern lights that illuminate the BC sky and remind us that even in the darkest conditions, brilliance is possible. We set out to bring enterprise-grade IT strategy and execution to businesses that had been underserved for too long.
Today, we serve clients across Trail, Rossland, Castlegar, Nelson, and beyond — and we're proud to call the Kootenays home in every sense of the word.
